Movie Summarize:

Orphan Dhruv Sikhar (Rajkummar Rao) falls in love with Anya Mehra (Kriti Sanon). Anya has only one condition. She will marry only someone who comes from a beautiful family and has a cute dog. Dhruv doesn't want to lose love. He sets out to find his parents. Eventually, he meets Purushottam Mehra (Paresh Rawal) and Dipti Kashyap (Dipti Kashyap). They have their own crises in life. Can a love built on lies withstand all the storms and challenges that life throws?

Though it starts with bitterness, successful businessman Dhruv Sikhar and Anya Mehra eventually fall in love with each other. Anya, who lost her parents in a fire, seeks out a groom who has a beautiful arranged family of his own. A groom whose family will become her own after marriage.

In the face of adversity, two soulful friends, Sandeep Sachdev (Aparshakti Khurana) and Shadiram (Saanand Verma), begin to brainstorm various ways to help their friend. However, Rajkumar Rao doesn't consider them as options. He turns to Purushottam Mehra for assistance. Dhruv had been working on imitating his role since childhood. Gradually, through conversations, Deepthi Kashyap's college love story comes to light. Raj convinces him to get involved in acting for his mother's role so that even Purushottam approves. The story unfolds.

Director Abhishek Jain has presented a very interesting plot in the movie 'Hum Do Hamare Do'. But, it's the screenplay that takes a hit. Prashant Jha couldn't sync his screenplay seamlessly with the story. The second half becomes a bit stretched. There comes a point when the audience is compelled to question, when will the veil be lifted from this façade of family-to-family falsehood and when will the truth emerge? Your patience is tested until the very end, and suddenly, it seems as if the director himself has found his way back when the patience wears thin. The movie eventually wraps up hurriedly. Yes, the happy ending was a must.

Once again, Rajkummar Rao has proven his mettle on screen. He has shown once more why he stands out from all the other stars. Kriti Sanon has done justice to her character. Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah not only delivered exceptional acting but also left their own signature outside the limited confines of the script.

Let's consider Aparshakti Khurana's words. While watching this movie, you might feel that the directors have typecast him somewhere. He also seems reluctant to step out of his comfort zone. He doesn't seem to want to think beyond the role of the hero's best friend. The music by Sachin-Jigar leaves an impression.

Now the question arises, is the movie worth watching? Certainly, it is. There are quite a few enjoyable moments that define the tech-audience point of this film. Perhaps there wouldn't have been much room for specific complaints about the movie if a little more care had been taken in the second half, just like the first.
