The story of the picture revolves around Rahul Shahrukh Khan, a middle-class man who helps the office manager establish clandestine relationships with various women to increase his income. His boss is Siddharth Aditya Panchali, a greedy man who has married a wealthy girl solely for her immense wealth.
Seema Juhi Chawla, an ambitious young model, enters the scene. Rahul and Seema meet, but Siddharth desires Seema and asks Rahul to help him lure her into his trap so that he can enjoy her. Unable to find another way, Rahul reluctantly agrees. However, Rahul starts to develop feelings for Seema.
While Seema falls in love with Siddharth, she is forced to pretend to be Rahul's wife to deceive Siddharth's wife. Gradually, while shooting abroad, Seema becomes enchanted by Rahul's simplicity.
Due to his mother's heart condition, Rahul cannot bear the mental turmoil. Bhushan Gulshan Grover pressures Rahul to marry his mother, and he informs Rahul that he is already married. To keep his mother happy, Rahul and Seema continue to pretend to be a married couple, and they eventually fall in love with each other.
When Siddharth learns about this, he fires Rahul from his job. However, love triumphs when Seema leaves her wealth behind and returns to Rahul's side.
