After watching the movie trailer, it felt like the film would be somewhat different and would create a powerful impact with its intense promotions, making it a box office hit. However, I must clarify that it didn't turn out to be anything like that, unlike a movie like 'Shamshera.' The acting in the movie is quite mediocre, and viewers might get bored. Ranbir Kapoor has made a comeback on the big screen after almost four years, but unfortunately, this film seems to have dampened his comeback prospects.

Ranbir Kapoor's Shamshera revolves around a revolutionary story that later transforms Ranbir into Robind Hood. The plot seen in the trailer doesn't deviate much from the actual movie. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor has portrayed a dual character for the first time, particularly as Sanjay Dutt and Vani Kapoor. He plays the role of both father and son. Vani Kapoor has acted as his lover in the movie. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt can be seen as his adversary.

Shamshera (played by Ranbir Kapoor) is fighting against oppressive rich individuals. He seeks freedom for his own people. However, he falls prey to the conspiracies of some influential figures. Right from the beginning, Shamshera was somewhat ahead in this battle. But, a British officer named Karam Singh, who worked under the British rule, betrays his trust. With Shamshera's cooperation, he captures all his fellow rebels. Shamshera's rebellion comes to a halt after his death. However, after 25 years, Shamshera's son, Balbir, returns to seek revenge for his father's death. A new revolution begins.

In this film, Ranbir Kapoor has taken all the limelight. His acting prowess will captivate you. After four years, he has returned to the big screen in a new avatar as Arka. This transformation from his previously seen Casanova avatar to this new form might surprise the audience and create buzz around the movie. Sanjay Dutt, as the villain, has done a commendable job. He has portrayed the expected villainous character convincingly. Sanjay Dutt's KGF and Prithviraj modes are still intact. On the other hand, Vani Kapoor, alias Sonar Glamour, will set the screen on fire. She has worked as a surprise package in this film, with her acting adding depth to her character. However, giving other characters a bit more space would have been better.

Despite a weak storyline and overly weak screenplay and dialogue, both actors have made a sincere effort to lift the movie and bring it up to the mark. After a long time, seeing Ranbir Kapoor on the big screen will be enjoyable. The action sequences in the movie were very well executed until the interval. Shamshera's songs were also quite good. However, Karan Malhotra couldn't weave the story the way he intended, and as a result, the movie falls flat. Thus, Shamshera's journey on the vast canvas ends up being a bit mediocre.
