"Rohan, the boy from a middle-class family, had been friends with Mridula since childhood. They both studied in the same school. Mridula's father was well-off, so she got admitted to St. Teresa's School. However, due to Rohan's middle-class background, he couldn't afford to study at St. Teresa's. Later, Rohan's father managed to secure a sports scholarship for him, which allowed him to join St. Teresa's as well.
In college, during the dance practice for a competition, Rohan and Shreya had an argument, and at one point, Shreya felt insulted and distanced herself from Rohan. From that point on, Shreya started mocking Rohan in various ways, and he couldn't understand why she was behaving that way. Shreya's brother Manav, whom Rohan had previously met in college as a Student of the Year awardee, tried to talk to him, but Rohan didn't open up about the situation.
Due to Shreya's mischief, Rohan's old friends from school misunderstood him and broke off their friendship. Slowly, during the college dance competition, they reconciled. On the day of the final competition, Mridula made a small mistake, which caused them to lose. Later that night, Rohan went to meet Mridula and found her with Manav. Rohan realized that Mridula had deceived him all along, and she was the one who caused the misunderstanding during the dance competition.
Feeling betrayed by Mridula's actions and still missing the old love, Rohan forgave her and chose to let go of the past love for a new one. Shreya's heartache increased as she saw Rohan move on. Rohan understood the situation well. Letting go of the old love, he found a new one and emerged victorious in the final college competition, just like every other time. Rohan's team defeated Manav's team in a kabaddi match, making Rohan the Student of the Year once again."
