A person who constantly worries about his family, a father of two children, who runs a local cable service and an uneducated man who deeply loves films or a fourth-grade student, for whom family means everything. In the first part of 'Drishyam,' viewers witnessed the entire incident of Meera Deshmukh (Tabu), his son's disappearance and murder through the eyes of Vijay Salgaonkar. The intelligent twists and turns of the uneducated Vijay leave the Goa police in bewilderment. From there, 'Drishyam 2' begins. The first part has brought these two main characters to the forefront, who are both fantastic parents. Director Jeethu Joseph, who has directed both films in the Malayalam version, has taken the responsibility of the sequences of this film after the death of Nishikant Kamat, the director of the Hindi remake of 'Drishyam.'

Released in 2015, 'Drishyam' was a super hit movie, a suspense-thriller that concludes with Ajay Devgan's character, played by Tabu and Rajat Kapoor, indirectly accepting the crime, which left the audience even more intrigued. What happens next? This question forms the central theme of 'Drishyam 2.' Almost all the characters have been brought back in the sequel. The hidden secret of the murder, kept for seven years, and the real reason behind Sam's death, known only to Salgaonkar's family. In 'Drishyam 2,' Shriya Saran portrays Ajay Devgan's wife with her distinctive hairstyle, draped in saree, fear in her eyes, but the boldness of her kohl-lined eyes, staying awake at night during the murder incident, and maintaining the way she speaks, have all been consistent.

'Drishyam 2' will take the story of the first part forward. In this installment, a new character, a young IG named Akshay Khanna, is introduced. In 'Drishyam,' we have seen Tabu as a moral authority, a strong-willed and helpless person, who, despite being an outstanding police officer, searches for her missing son like a desperate mother. Though Akshay Khanna's character is somewhat different from Tabu's, his presence adds more excitement to the film as he investigates like a relentless police officer to find the truth in front of Ajay Devgan's eyes.

Tabu and her businessman husband, Mahesh Deshmukh, return as grieving parents, and their roles are limited, but while Tabu was on the big screen, she dominated the scenes. Alongside Ajay Devgan, her presence was also powerful.

The director has successfully kept the mystery intact in 'Drishyam 2,' which began from the first part. The movie's background music and performances are praiseworthy. Combining everything, whether the unsolved mystery of 'Drishyam' gets resolved in 'Drishyam 2' or not, the audience will have to come to the cinema halls to find out, and they will not be disappointed.
