But 'Ek Villain Returns' shattered that misconception right after its release. If a film lacks intensity in its story, then this movie proved it by not succeeding solely through editing style.

Before discussing how the movie is, let's touch upon the story a bit. Arbi (Tara Sutaria) is a singer at a nightclub. Arbi suddenly goes missing. Her lover Gautam (Arjun Kapoor) believes that this situation of Arbi is for his sake. This takes the movie into one narrative, but within the movie, another story is present as well. That is Bhairav and Rasika. Rasika, alias Tara Sutaria, is known as Bhairav to Jan Abraham. And it's from then that violence takes birth within Bhairav. Murders continue to occur in the city. Who is committing the murders? Is it Bhairav or Gautam? Or someone else? Suddenly, the movie delves into various questions of this sort.

Director Mohit has woven these two stories together seamlessly. And within that weave lies a web of multiple twists. What leads the movie forward soon turns into a journey of frustration. The excess of twists weakens the plot. As a result, even the climax of the movie ends up feeling rushed and careless, devoid of the intricate web of mystery. In the end, Mohit seems to have gone astray in an attempt to wrap up the movie quickly. However, at the end of the movie, it leaves a hint of yet another sequel with 'Ek Villain Returns'.

This movie is not entirely a film of acting. Because Jan Abraham and Arjun Kapoor's acting opportunities have been hindered by the pressure of editing style. However, yes, there is an abundance of action. Tara Sutaria, Disha Patani, and others are present.

In conclusion, it can be said that 'Ek Villain Returns' is a movie of average proportions. While the original 'Ek Villain' had some narrative strength, the story in 'Ek Villain Returns' is quite weak. If there were only flashy presentations, the movie wouldn't sustain itself!
