"Jaya Kumari, also known as Janhvi Kapoor, lives with her mother Shrabati (Mita Vashisht) and sister Cheri. Their family is facing financial difficulties. In this situation, Jerry (Janhvi) learns that her mother Shrabati is suffering from lung cancer. They need 2.5 million rupees for her treatment. To arrange the money, she gets involved in local drug dealer Timi's (Jaswant Singh Dalal) scheme of cocaine smuggling. This dealer engages her in facilitating the drug supply."
"Each character in the movie is exceptional. Timi's assistant Jigar (Sahil Mehta), Jerry's lover Rinku (Deepak Dobriyal), the cocaine distributor (Saurabh Sachdeva), the head of the drug cartel (Sushant Singh) Shrabati, and her neighbor Anil (Neeraj Sood) have all delivered stunning performances, reciprocating each other's intensity. Every actor has portrayed their role remarkably. Janhvi has also done a great job in this movie. Her character decides to work in a massage parlor against her family's wishes. She knows when to speak, when to remain silent, and when to smile like an ordinary girl. The sight of blood makes her dizzy. However, when she senses danger, she doesn't hesitate to kill for her safety."
"Director Siddharth Sengupta has woven this story in an intricate plot. The portrayal of Jerry's family getting involved in the drug trade is quite engaging. However, towards the end, the pace of the movie has slowed down a bit. The scenes in the final phase of the film have unnecessarily lengthened. 'Good Luck Jerry' could have provided the audience with the perfect dose of entertainment, had the director not unnecessarily elongated the movie. The issue lies in the overindulgence in the storytelling in the final part of the film."
