Movie Summarize:

Working as a Floor Manager in an organization, Manas had a significant role. Due to financial difficulties, he lost his job and had to resort to food delivery to make ends meet. To support the family's livelihood, he began working in food delivery services. On the other hand, his wife Pratima started thinking about working as a cleaner at a shopping mall. What happened next?

The habit of placing orders through food delivery apps has become prevalent for almost everyone. Using smartphones, one can simply tap their fingers and within minutes, have their favorite foods from preferred restaurants delivered. In a very short time, food delivery boys or girls ensure that the ordered food reaches home. With eager anticipation, when users look towards their mobile timers, they engage in a silent battle, urging the person responsible for delivery to overcome challenges.

Director Nandita Das has portrayed that very struggle in the movie "Manto." She has also shown the challenges faced by the labor community in their daily lives. The scarcity of opportunities for the unemployed is also highlighted in this film.

Through the daily life of Manas, the struggle of the connected people with food app delivery is depicted. At one point in the film, Kapil Sharma is heard saying, "Oh, you are forced, that's why you are a laborer." In Bengali, this means, Necessity makes people become laborers.

According to the narrative, in the world of acting, there is a constant struggle between Manas and Pratima (played by Shahana Goswami). Pratima wants to work to support her husband. However, Manas doesn't want his wife to work.

Actually, Manas loves his own family. However, he has grown up in a patriarchal society. His mindset is outdated. So, even amidst numerous difficulties, he won't let his wife work.

He isn't satisfied with his career. As a result, Manas becomes increasingly frustrated, blaming himself. Day by day, his frustration starts to grow.

Kapil Sharma truly excels in portraying Manas' character. He has shown a different aspect of himself. As a skilled comedian, he is familiar to viewers in one way. However, in Manas' role, one won't be able to recognize Kapil easily. His comedic presence is absent in this film as well.

Watching the movie "Jugjugg Jeeyo" might feel a bit overwhelming at times. However, the performances of Kapil and Shahana will warm your heart. Apart from that, watching this film will also evoke empathy towards those associated with the profession of food delivery!
