Movie Summarize:

The movie "Mrs. Chatterjee Versus Norway" has been created based on real events. She did not hesitate to fight with the Norwegian government to get custody of her own child.

In the movie, the character of Sagorika has been portrayed by Rani Mukherjee. She has been depicted in the guise of a Bengali woman in this film. However, the name Sagorika is not used in the movie. Instead, the name Debika has been used.

According to the screenplay, even though Debika lives in Norway, she doesn't want to let the Indian within herself die. She loves wearing sarees even in the cold Norwegian weather. She prefers to feed her children with her own hands.

Debika's husband quickly learns the Norwegian language and etiquette. However, Debika prefers to maintain her Indian identity. She starts speaking in Bengali.

Due to not expressing farewell to Indian culture, some unethical officers in the Norwegian child care service cast a suspicious eye on her. They label practices like feeding the child with one's hand, feeding the child in person, or sleeping with the child as bad habits.

At one point, the children are taken away from Debika and placed in foster care. Her children go through foster care. After that, Debika cannot regain her composure. She tries in various ways to reunite with her children. Mistakes happen right here.

Trying forcefully to reunite with the children leads to adverse consequences. Debika realizes that taking matters into her own hands won't help bring the children back. She becomes desperate.

Debika even attempts to kidnap her own children to get them back. This further intensifies the opposition from the Norwegian authorities.

The film "Mrs. Chatterjee Versus Norway," directed by Asimaa Chibbar, is universally well-received. Only information from Wikipedia has been used in this film.
