Movie Summarize:

Once a star TV anchor suddenly turns into a demon. Arjun (Kartik Aaryan) has to go to the radio. When Mariah Arjun comes back to regain old respect and glamour, it's a fantastic opportunity for her. The threat of blowing up the Bandra-Worli Sea Link comes with an explosion. Creating countless hostages at the bridge, on one hand, when lives are at stake, it's a golden opportunity to build one's career. 

What can one believe about a journalist? Does he have any sense of conscience? These are the questions that often arise in the minds of the public. The Hindi remake of the Korean film 'The Terror Live' is 'Dhamaka'. Just by observing social media, one can see that the media's breaking news infuriates the audience. This film is centered around the business that has flourished under the name of breaking news. News is being created every moment to increase views, page views, and ratings. Most media houses are pointed at with fewer arrows of this accusation. Arjun, the opportunist, shifts his entire perspective to focus on an incident. He confronts the barricades of his own conscience in the face of questioning.

A whole movie has been shot within one room. So, amidst the nationwide lockdown, in just 11 days, the shoot was completed. At the heart of the plot is Arjun Thakur, played by Kartik Aaryan. With time, Arjun has to make several tough decisions in his career and personal life. All within a short span. Mrunal Thakur has a good guest appearance in the role of Kartik Aaryan's reporter wife.

There's excitement in the explosion. However, you won't be able to connect deeply with any character or the plot. The film might seem like it was made in the 1990s amidst a mixture of melodrama and knowledge-filled conversations. So many clichéd dialogues that at times you'll be forced to get bored. Director Ram Madhvani has established a factory for crafting hostage-negotiation thrillers, and as a result, the film has come together as a complete stress-tension film.

Perhaps after a long time or even more explicitly put, Kartik Aaryan has acted so well for the first time. He has certainly grown a lot as an actor. However, there is still room for improvement. Amruta Subhash and Vikas Kumar's acting is commendable.

The explosive film is courageous from one perspective. Once again, it reminds the media of their identity beyond business and TRPs... the fourth pillar of democracy. The movie 'Weekend Watch' is quite good. It doesn't seem to have much of a shelf-life.
